Black Museums Matter...
The African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey (AAHMSNJ) has reopened to welcome individuals and small groups, but it is not yet safe to host large gatherings at the Museum due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns. These challenging times have forced us to adapt and while we may not be able to host a traditional reception for our friends and supporters inside the Museum, we can take you on a virtual tour of the Museum.
Museum founder and president, Ralph E. Hunter, Sr., will speak about the historical significance of selected items from our permanent collection and will also discuss the group of paintings we are showing right now in our Black Lives Matter exhibit in Atlantic City. You will get a glimpse of our permanent collection and be able to purchase a signed print or a piece of original art for your collection. We hope you will help us support our sustainability efforts to strengthen the Museum's legacy.
AAHMSNJ has set a goal to raise $25,000 to support the Museum's exhibits, programs and operations. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Museum.
